We have been here for lunch a few times. I like to think of it as a Greek Chipotle. Not really, but I like that you can get a salad with some clean grilled meats on it. It's a nice change of pace from all the fried chicken and sodium Laden fast food that plagues the area. The people that work there are friendly and there's plenty of parking in the lot out front. Never too busy so it's nice to get in and out pretty quickly.
Enjoyed this WONDERFUL dinner tonight. My mom had the lamb gyro with Greek salad. All was on point, great seasoning and plenty to eat. They’re very accommodating with their menu! Don’t pass this place up, you’ll be sorry. 9/21/2024 Another outstanding meal this afternoon. Both of us had the gyro platter. Delicious!!! Keep up the great work!!
I rarely award five-star ratings, but this establishment has earned my highest commendation. The food quality was exceptional, and the service was both courteous and efficient. The dishes arrived promptly, maintaining optimal temperature and exhibiting remarkable flavor profiles. I even ordered food to go for later enjoyment. This restaurant is now my preferred dining destination.
Geitonia Greek Grill in Valparaiso, IN, serves the best Gyro I’ve ever had, hands down! The casual, friendly atmosphere and the fast, efficient service make it a great spot to grab an incredible meal. I ordered the Lamb Gyro with Feta and Fries, and everything was unbelievably fresh. The lamb was thick-cut, tender, and bursting with flavor, unlike the usual shaved meat you get elsewhere. The pita was soft, perfectly wrapped, and just the right size, though if you have a bigger appetite, you might want two because it’s that good! The fries were fantastic too – crispy, with the skins still on, which gave them a homemade feel. The owner is hands-on and genuinely cares about your dining experience, adding a personal touch that keeps me coming back. Since discovering Geitonia, I won’t eat Gyros anywhere else!
Man this place is delicious! I’m a Chicago native and Greek food is almost a staple for me growing up. Even better that this place is in Valpo, it’s a pretty unique little eatery for NWI. My idea for this night was a sit down place for me and my family that wasn’t fast food and at least had healthier options. This place offers dining in doors and is very clean, nicely decorated. Lemon rice soup is fantastic, decently priced and good serving size. We are already planning to come back.
First time there. Got a carryout Gyros plate It tasted good, nice size portion and they promptly took care of me. Menu had great variety: salads, platters of various gyros meats, etc.
Absolutely fabulous ! We feel like we are welcomed like family by the owners. Starting with the lemon rice soup, the broth is refreshing and exotic. The rice cooked to perfection, the flavor simple and complicated at the same time. The tzatziki is a beautiful blend of flavors, gentle, not overwhelming in garlic. Exceptionally clean, food nicely presented and the highest quality. I’ve been to Greek Town downtown Chicago likely 50 times. Geitonia-wow, if you had saganaki I’d never go back! Great job!
Geitonia in Malia has been the highlight of my culinary journey in Greece. The food is absolutely amazing—full of authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and clearly made with passion. I tried the Greek Salad and the Mix Grill, and both were outstanding. The meats were perfectly cooked, and the freshness of the ingredients really stood out. What made the experience even better was the service. The girl who served us was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive, adding a personal touch that made us feel truly welcome. This is, without a doubt, the best restaurant I’ve visited in Greece so far. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Malia—don’t miss it!
